Our challenge

The aim of our project is to create a wild flower meadow in our parkland orchard, with native hedgerow, seating and interpretation. The challenges we face are hard clay and the exposed position of the site!

What we're doing

We will create a 5000m2 wild flower meadow which will include ragged robin, corn poppy, yellow rattle and many more. Volunteers will learn how to sow and manage the meadow, and will gather seed to sell in the Autumn.

How to get involved

We will be planting our hedgerow first, followed by the wild flower seed in the spring.
To get involved contact us on: www.bodelwyddan-castle.co.uk, or facebook.com/bodcastle, or ring 01745 584060

Who can enjoy our site

We are open to the public Tuesdays - Thursdays and Weekends. We have a family tree planting day on 28th March 2016. We are working closely with local volunteers and Cambian Pengwern College students.
