2016 Let's Grow the UK

This year we need your help to bring Flowers to the People and grow the UK!

From setting pro-active personal goals to sowing pollinator-friendly wild flower seeds we want to encourage more people to care for and delight in the nature around them.

What can you do?

1. Sow wild flower seeds.

Claim your free packet of wild flower seeds today and receive them in time for autumn sowing!

Grow Wild will be back on the road this year taking our message to the masses. We visited Glastonbury Festival and student campuses across the UK this spring, where students had the opportunity to send a free postcard to loved ones with a gift of wildflower seeds.

We raved about wild flowers at Morning Gloryville’s sober morning dance parties and are heading to Latitude festival too.

2. Visit

We have teamed up with The View from The Shard  where we have taken over a corner of the attraction with native, pollinator-friendly wild flowers and plants. The space has been transformed  into the Height of Summer, London’s tallest garden oasis this summer, featuring thousands of brilliant blooms in celebration of The Year of The English Garden. The garden will close on Sunday 18th September 2016 at which time , planters will be donated to local Grow Wild community projects across London.

The immersive garden will provide a haven for guests to enjoy 800ft above London, whilst highlighting the immense importance of UK wild flowers in pollination and elevating bee populations.

3. Sow a virtual seed

We believe small actions lead to big changes. By taking the simple action of sowing a virtual seed, we can reach online communities far and wide in our call to action and mobilise people to make a difference where they live.

Sow your virtual seed now and kick start others on their journey to Grow Wild by sharing our seed map here. As a thank you for taking part you will be entered into a prize draw to win a Forest Holiday.

By sowing a virtual seed you will be helping us raise awareness around the importance of wild flowers for pollinators as well as their impact on our wellbeing.

4. Enter #grewitmyselfie

Spread the word and enter by sharing your sowing and growing progress on social media using the hashtag #grewitmyselfie to be in with a chance of winning a digital SLR camera and 1 day photography course!

5. Share

YouTube star Brett Domino is backing our campaign, having written and produced this comedy music video to raise awareness about the importance of wild flowers.

Keep your eyes peeled for new content and continue to share our videos to promote the benefits of nature to inspire creativity, improve our wellbeing and strengthen communities.
